I am interested in establishing new medical hypotheses and developing medical logic to explain phenomena. I have also worked to establish a new science "Molecular sociology" and I have already published two articles. I have also generated medical hypotheses. I have worked with colleagues on establishing a kinetic model explaining the occurrence of Acute meyloid leukemia.

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is the most prevalent neurodegenerative disease following Alzheimer's di... more Parkinson's Disease (PD) is the most prevalent neurodegenerative disease following Alzheimer's disease. Its prevalence is increasing over time, and it is expected to reach a peak in 2030. The aim of the present study was to review the literature for various aspects of PD including general characteristics of the disease, its pathology, clinical features, therapeutic clinical trials, and animal models used to study PD. The results of this study showed that no curative therapy for PD has so far been developed. Altogether, PD is still a very hot area in medicine to be studied and to have new therapeutic options.

Priva cordifolia (Verbenaceae) is broadly dispersed all through India in states like Andhra Prade... more Priva cordifolia (Verbenaceae) is broadly dispersed all through India in states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The species of genus Priva are known for their rich composition of Phenolic compounds. Therefore, phytochemical properties and antioxidant potential of Priva cordifolia were evaluated in the present study. The ethanol extract of P.cordifolia [EEPC] was obtained by Soxhletion, with ethanol and was further processed for phytochemical screening, Total Phenol Content, Total Flavonoid Content and various in vitro antioxidant assays. The phytochemicals present in EEPC were Carbohydrates, Proteins, Steroids, Phenolic compounds, Flavonoids and Triterpenoids. The Total Phenolic and Flavonoid contents of EEPC were found to be 98.62 mg Gallic acid equivalents (GAE) per gram of dry extract and 49.76 mg Quercetin equivalents (QE) per gram of dry extract, respectively. In DPPH radical scavenging activity, EEPC exerted an inhibition of 71% and that of ascorbic acid was 79% at 500μg/ml. In the FRAP assay, the absorbance of EEPC clearly increased, due to the formation of the Fe2+-TPTZ complex with increasing concentration. Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity of the EEPC was 64% while ascorbic acid reached 73% at 500μg/ml. Superoxide radical scavenging activity of the EEPC was 79% while ascorbic acid reached 84% at 1000 μg/ml. Nitric oxide radical scavenging activity of the EEPC reached 54% while ascorbic acid reached 70% at 500μg/ml. The present study suggests that this plant could be of great importance for the treatment of free radical related diseases.

Implementation Time of Chemical Flood and its Impact on Ultimate Recovery

During water flooding processes, injected water disconnects oil droplets as it flows through pore... more During water flooding processes, injected water disconnects oil droplets as it flows through pores/throats in the reservoir. These disconnections are a consequence of capillary effects hindering the mobilization of oil through pores/throats of the reservoir. Due to this capillary trapping, mobilizing the remaining oil in place by any enhanced oil recovery (EOR) process becomes very challenging. Chemical flooding has been identified as an effective EOR method which is usually implemented in tertiary mode, where field development has reached a mature level. At this stage, the efficiency of waterflooding processes in terms of mobilizing remaining oil declines due to capillary trapping. Chemical EOR processes such as surfactant flooding are used to reduce this trapping and mobilize the remaining oil. Surfactants are used to reduce the interfacial tension which consequently reduces the capillary pressure effects responsible for trapping. Although most EOR processes have been implemented in tertiary mode, earlier implementation is more desirable because capillary trapping is less prominent. This study investigates the impact of post-waterflood implementation time of surfactant flooding on ultimate recovery and net present value (NPV) given this capillary trapping. A series of numerical experiments were conducted to test this effect while accounting for operating expenses associated with both flooding options. Capillary pressure curves for the waterflood case and the chemical flood case were added to incorporate capillary trapping effects. Then, the chemical-flood implementation time was varied to evaluate its impact on the ultimate oil recovery. These experiments were performed on a number of stylized reservoir models while varying field size: a 1-D coreflood model, the PUNQ-S3, SPE10 reservoir model and a synthetic fractured reservoir model that is analogous to a Middle Eastern carbonate fractured reservoir. The implementation was conducted by an algorithm that was written in MATLAB and was coupled with a commercial reservoir simulator. Results show that the sooner chemical EOR is implemented the higher the ultimate recovery of the process. Due to the relatively large initial investment and operating expenses associated with chemical flooding, water flooding is more attractive from an NPV perspective.

A New Treatment Method for Chronic Knee Pain for the Elderly: Treating Inflammatory Immune Membranes as A New Medical Hypothesis

As age increases, people experience a wide scope of chronic diseases including chronic knee pain.... more As age increases, people experience a wide scope of chronic diseases including chronic knee pain. The objective of this study was to introduce our new therapeutic approach for chronic knee pain. A ground powder of Urtica pilulifera was mixed with Vaseline to make a cream. Another part of the same powder was mixed with honey. For patients with knee pain, they applied Urtica pilulifera cream before sleeping and to wrapped it with the enveloping plastic overnight. This was applied for up to 10 days. The second part, Urtica pilulifera powder mixed with honey, was taken daily as a spoon in the morning and another spoon at the evening. This therapeutic approach was applied by 4 males (age range 70-84 years old), and 2 females (age range 72-80 years). All of them had chronic knee pain and movement limitations. After applying this new therapeutic approach, within 7 days, they restored better quality of life in terms getting rid of pain, and movement without pains. Taken together, our new therapeutic strategy for chronic knee pain was effective. We think that treating inflammatory immune membranes was the reason beyond the success of this treatment.

Work injuries and accidents have a considerable impact on public and community health. This study... more Work injuries and accidents have a considerable impact on public and community health. This study targeted three work sectors: metal shaping, food production and building construction. Work injuries that occurred in these sectors were compared for the years 1999 and 2000 in Jericho District in the West Bank of Palestine. One hundred three injuries were examined and information recorded about the nature of the injury, site of injury in the body, direct cause of injury and some personal information about the injured worker. The most vulnerable group were young people in their twenties, and mostly those working in the metal shaping and building construction sectors. The kinds and sites of injuries varied. The data were compared with data from 1997, 1998 and 2001-2003, although only loosley as the available data about work injuries for these years were limited and inaccurate.
