Yes, I meet Shuji in Valhalla! Younger Kai was… chaotic, to say the very least. So in my self-ship, I end up as a member of Valhalla in my quest to find trouble! It’s not love at first sight, but we are drawn to one another as moths to a flame.
My self-ship with Shuji evolves from “you’re here when there’s nobody else, but I won’t be tied down” to “no matter who else I’m with, you’re the one I always end up coming back to” and ends up as “why do you let anybody else touch you when you’re mine?” So while we’re immediately entangled, it’s a while before we both acknowledge that this is something we can trust in, something we can’t call anything but love.
We get close in Valhalla, and I follow him to Toman as his vice-captain, then to Tenjiku, and eventually to Kanto Manji, too. It isn’t until Kanto Manji that he even starts to accept that maybe we aren’t just fucking around…. maybe we are both someone the other can’t leave behind.

I don’t have anything fully thought out about it yet, but it’s based off a song I’ve been obsessed with recently called Heather on the Hill by Nathan Evans, the premise is that during the down time for the Black Dragons they have hang outs where they’re just acting like normal teenagers who dance around fires and drink and kiss

It really does! My self-ship? I'd say our relationship is passionate, seemingly carefree, and kinda toxic. High highs and big fights. But we know it's really through thick and thin. Lmao a little delulu but the song that makes me think of him most right now is "my ex's best friend" by MGK. Another one (also MGK - so embarrassing🫣) is "why are you here" - though this one's more for our fights

Ooh, yes yes!! I WISH I COULD SHARE IT ALL. It’s gonna be so hard to pick snippets!! It’s messy headcanons right now, but I plan to spin it into something else!
Wakasa with two daughters who are just so pretty that every nerve in his body is humming. He knows better than anyone how some men treat pretty girls, especially when they’re as soft and delicate as his daughters.
Wakasa in the gym training them how to fight, how to defend themselves. He’s not going to settle with them knowing the bare minimum; he’s constantly pushing them to improve, putting them up against tougher and tougher opponents.
Takeomi loves his daughter, okay? There’s never any question of that. But Takeomi never really overcomes his underlying issues. He’s constantly chiding her to act more like a lady, behave more like a lady. He spoils her so much though, constantly handing her his credit card and sending her off to shop to her heart’s content. He’s always there for her when she needs it, but not always in the way she needs it.
(there’s a bonus at the end with Takeomi’s son, too!)

Auraaaa! 💕 I gave Kai a snippet from the actual chapter but I will share a few of my notes with you hehehe. 🤭
- Dabi is an ex pro athlete. He used to snowboard until he had a tragic accident. Now he streams full time.
- I also stream, but it’s mostly art, cozy games and horror games. Dabi plays competitive games. He discovers my channel on his own, watches me to fall asleep. Makes a secret account to talk to me.
- We’re both streamers but he is way more popular than I am. He shot up in popularity quickly. He’s mostly well known because he wears a mask over the lower half of his face when he’s on cam but everyone goes wild over his blue eyes and voice. I realize how similar this is to like Corpsehusband and other mask streamers but ya get it. Essentially he wears a mask to hide his identity/his scars.
- He streams super popular games with other well known streamers while I stream mostly art, cozy games and horror games. I have like a fraction of the number of viewers that he pulls, but I still have a loyal following and am able to stream regularly.
- That’s how he ends up finding me one night when he’s browsing for something to fall asleep to. Thanks to trauma he has a hard time falling asleep, and when he does, he has nightmares. Falling asleep to videos of people talking usually helps.
- Anyway, that’s when he stumbles upon one of my “cozy” streams where I chitchat while I build or run around my AC island. He thinks the sound of my voice is quite comforting with my twang and easily falls asleep. So he ends up turning back to my channel now whenever he is going to bed.

The streamer known as Dabi gave the camera a crooked smile despite the mask that obscured his features and used two fingers to signal his sign off as his screen filled with his “thank you for watching” graphic. Another stream down and more subs in his pocket.
His face fell as he let out a long exhale. He pulled his mask off and dropped it on the desk before grabbing his pack of cigarettes.

His hands grip the back of your thighs firmly, and you follow his lead, perching on the railing and wrapping your legs around his waist. There’s no barrier now, nothing but Shuji keeping you from plummeting to the pavement a hundred feet below.
