Due to the current status in children's hospital in Iran, there are some problems including facilities and appropriate environment shortage, inattention to children's needs and moods and influence of environment on physical and psychological conditions of sick children. These issues can cause to increase fear, boarding, hospitalization and treatment process. This study is library research and it has been conducted using the results of questionnaires which were fulfilled by 20 sick children in 4 hospitals in Esfahan and mixed (quantitative and qualitative) and analytical method. The results showed that needs of children are divided into two categories: 1) physical environment. 2) Psychological environment. The researchers have presented special solutions for children's therapeutic environments by paying attention to these needs and using obtained solutions from previous studies about solving the problems in children's therapeutic environments. These solutions make desirable environment to decrease stress during hospitalization.

Meanwhile, culture acts as the operant and nature as the mediator and cultural landscape is the product of these two. The cultural landscape of Iranian tribes is very diverse and miscellaneous, to the extent that even in places that are geographically similar to each other we witness deep-rooted differences between them. It should be mentioned that, during recent decades, the lack of attention to the elements that develop cultural landscape has led to the distortion of some local characteristics and destruction of the nomadic cultural landscape. Identifying these factors will be a great help for the life perpetuation of this culturally rich heritage and the revival of these perspectives. In the present research, we are in search of these differences and the factors which cause them among these nomadic people, speci...

This paper aims to examine how conical shells bear weight loads and resist against bending through a qualitative analysis. After proving that 'rise/span' ratio strongly affects weight loads and bending in external shells, the main question of the paper is "what construction techniques architects adopted to carry weight loads, and how these techniques differed in domes with various 'rise/span' ratios". To find out about paper's main question, a qualitative approach for structural analysis has been adopted. First, architectural maps and dimensions of six cases were documented, and then, according to the documentation, some ratios and parameters have been defined to find their probable correlation with 'rise/spa...

Based on knowledge and intelligent use of it, the garden-house pattern appears to have an unbreakable bond with the nature and the understanding of both social and cultural rules of users. The research questions at first place discuss the role of tacit knowledge in shaping the architecture of garden-houses of Meybud and how this knowledge has appeared in architecture of garden-houses of Meybud. Qualitative research method and data collection method relies on library studies and field research. Experiences of successful countries in the rural development show the importance of the village industrialization in creating the job opportunities and preventing the rural migration to the cities. Theory of development and industrialization of rural areas is a factor affecting the economic and social development process and may be considered as the last solution for solving the problem of poverty in the rural areas as we see its success in China through this paper. Therefore, this paper examines the role of the handicraft production in sustainable development in the Sar Aqa Seyyed village. A number of handicrafts including carpet weaving as the main handicrafts of Sar Aqa Seyyed village are still flourishing. Handicraft production and development in this village not only creates employment opportunities and income, but also can play a major role in sustainable development and the village independence.

In this regard, the architecture of the house, in terms of its specific functional role, search to implement the principles and geometric rules in the best way and with understanding of the ratio and proportions achieve a correct of the harmony. Based on field study in 20 historical houses in Kashan, the study search to identify how the geometry is used in the architectural design of the historical houses of Kashan. This study is conducted through field study of 20 historical houses in Kashan to discover how geometry is used in the architectural design of Kashan historical houses. In this regard, the proportions of the area and the yard in these cells have been compared. The result shows that the yard follows the golden ratio as the house design basis. The 1.414 and 1.618 ratios have the highest frequency in the study samples. In additio...

The character that the entrance takes is an important factor for the connection between inside and outside the building. The research question is what are the criteria for recognizing entrance architecture? And how have these criteria been able to improve the continuity of the sense of belonging to the place in the inhabitants of the historical context of Kashan? In the architecture of Kashan's houses, entrance space as a conceptual element has high importance and reflects the architectural, cultural, and social values. This important element, which is based on behavioral patterns, has lost its identity today and has been reduced scale to a separating outside from inside. Studies show that integration and integrity, the radius of vision, and visual depth are three important indices designed based on them. This research through case study and using Depth map software has examined these characteristics at the entrance of nine historical houses in Kashan. The results show that the design of these entrances has the highest degree of coherence and a maximum radius of view and due to high visual depth have high privacy.

The study is related to the caravanserais of the Seljuk period which are limited in number and which have unique structures in terms of physical and architectural features. In Qom province, regardless of research carried out so far on suburban caravanserai architecture, there is still a dearth of studies for a complete understanding, and consequently no accurate typology has been provided for the caravanserai of Qom region yet. Therefore, the typology architecture of caravanserai in Seljuk period is important as a response to the question of what patterns have been followed and what materials were used for the construction? The purpose of this typology is to provide architects with specific patterns in construction. This is a qualitative study conducted through a descriptive-analytic method and sample observation. The samples were selected based on their ...

The research main question is that due to the mechanism of the dome parts, how the creation and the entering of skylights to the dome were done. The research method is a combination of both quantitative and qualitative methods. Initially, based on library studies, researcher's opinions were investigated and by analyzing 14 types of mosques from the Seljuk to the Qajar era in Iran, analyzes on how to create skylights through the dome were accomplished. This research answer two essential questions which are what principles had been followed for locating skylight in the dome? Moreover, how did light enter through the dome, in one-shell and two-shell domes? The findings show that in the one-shell domes, the position of the skylight is variable. In det...

Only the simplest tools are necessary for drawing the muqarnas, but in terms of performance and understanding, the muqarnas is among the most complex aspects of karbandi geometry. The study of geometric patterns in the muqarnas, particularly in the recognition of takht elements, which have a very complex behavioural understanding, is among the issues that have been so far less studied. A large number of elements in each row of muqarnas have made it complicated to understand the geometrical relations of this type of karbandi. Although the elements that make the muqarnas follow a certain geometry, the elements which have the only horizontal element in any train of muqarnas is formed according to the circle division; its study will lead to a deeper and better understanding of these takht elements. Takht elements can be seen as regular polygons and star regular polygons in the suspended muqarnas. This particular article provides the research of several regular takht elements through a geometrical study focused on several monuments in the city of Kashan to provide a standard drawing of muqarnas for designers and researchers. This research strives to respond to the following questions: What are the rules for designing and drawing a regular Takht element in muqarnas? How do regular Takht elements affect the formation and development of the geometrical system? What is the geometric ratio of the regular Takht elements angles with the angles of architectural Girih angles? Keywords: Muqarnas, Takht elements, geometrical system, Kashan, Iran.
