
Kyle Dyer
Dr Dyer is a psycho-pharmacologist who conductes work related to the acute and chronic effects of drugs of dependence. He has a broad range of skills in psychological and pharmacological methodologies, workforce development, tertiary education, staff and student management, strategic and business planning, and clinical and political consultancy. Dr Dyer has been conducting research into the efficacy of point-of-collection oral fluid drug tests, the relationship between oral fluid drug concentration and psycho behavioural and cognitive impairment, and the utility of oral fluid for therapeutic drug monitoring within drug dependence treatment. Parallel research areas include the diagnosis and management of mental health problems and neuro-cognitive impairment among drug dependent individuals; the assessment and management of methamphetamine withdrawal and dependence; and the relationship between drug use and cognitive functioning, including the areas of drugs and driving and drug impairment in the workplace.
