Not sure if this is the place to bring it up but I’m angry about it and the info hasn’t hit Tumblr yet so: a Canadian corporation played a significant role in the creation of the new concentration camp in Florida. GardaWorld has supplied funding to it and they intend to provide staff as well. I hate security companies so much and I hate how sneakily complicit Canada is in making the world worse.

Make this widely-known in Canada.

A LOT of Canadians are furious at America over the trade wars and 51st state threats, there's a big push to buy Canadian.

If its widely publicized (this is the first I've heard of it, and I live in Canada and follow politics pretty closely) that this company is not only doing business with the US government (as many Canadian companies obviously do), but with one of the US government's very worst acts, they WILL get big backlash.

Hell, a security company probably has govt. contracts. Write your member of Parliament and tell them you want the company investigated for complicity in crimes against humanity, and its contracts terminated. Even if you've decided how you're going to vote next time around, THEY don't need to know that.

Let them think your vote hinges on how they respond to this.

Edit: Updating this- GardaWorld DEFINITELY has, or did have, Canadian government business. They operated an immigrant detention facility in Canada where immigrants undertook a hunger strike to protest the conditions there, per this report by the Tampa Bay Times, which illuminates their exceedingly unsavoury history:

Now you got me thinking about what the other IDW characters would be like in Boom. Like, for instance, Tangle and Whisper.

Tangle already has the sports tape in her design, so obviously she’d just have more. Like, on her tail. The purpose of it not being immediately obvious until she uses it to form a fist, at which point it all becomes clear. She lives with Whisper because of course.

Whisper would probably lean a lot into her Metal Gear Solid roots, at least as far as backstory goes. Like she kind of just shows up, hangs out, and nobody knows where she came from. At least, until Smithy the lion shows up at her doorstep. In a hilarious twist, it’d turn out none of her friends from the Diamond Cutters are dead, just laying low after a botched raid on Prison Island left Mimic seemingly dead thanks to some snaky fella in a bandanna. I think you can guess how the story pans out from there.
