Whatever is going on here is the opposite of feng shui.

This room is designed to funnel stress directly into the brain of the person who sleeps in that bed.

I don't know if I'm reaching, because I'm many things, but a learned doctor is not one of them. But like, his room is giving hospital room/OR. You've got the shelf and sofa on both sides in lieu of a curtain, the TV is a heart monitor, the window is the one patients stand in to watch the doctors, and those big metal lamps are those high wattage surgical numbers. I think the uncomfortable, claustrophobic surroundings are meant to be reflective of how future Great feels in the hospital.

That is a fascinating theory.

I'm already mildly obsessed with the way that giant light looks like an operating room light, but the idea of the whole room being like an operating theater/hospital room is wild.

This show is doing such fascinating things with the set design and cinematography (BoC camera work is always gorgeous, and 4 Minutes is not disappointing there)
