The Bodhisattva Samantabhadra whose name means 'Universal Virtue'. Samantabhadra may also be called 'Puxian' in China and 'Fugen' in Japan and may sometimes be seen as a woman. Samantabhadra may also be known as the Bodhisattva of Extensive Conduct because of his practice of the Ten Great Vows which he made ~ this is described in the Avatamsaka Sutra.
