Simon Akeroyd on Instagram: "Natural air freshener. Hyacinths smell amazing. If you plant hyacinth bulbs now, they will flower in a few weeks time. Keep the bulbs indoors whilst flowering to enjoy their natural fragrance. Then plant the bulbs outside once they’ve finished flowering and they should flower outside in following years. #hyacinths #winterfragrance #winterflowers"
Claudia Quintero on Instagram: "PROPAGATION EXPERIMENT 🧪 Did you know you can grow bare vines/wet sticks in just water? I’ve had success with this method with various pothos, philodendron brasil, micansn ring of fire and monstera deliciosa! Propagating in water is my preferred method but to know I can just add wet sticks to water… propagating just got even easier! Would love to know if you’ve tried this and how it went 👇 . . . . : How to propagate, propagating in water, water propagations, wet stick propagation, plant care, how to grow plants, how to propagate new plants"
Jill Dinnan on Instagram: "If you see a gap between your soil and the pot, this is why! When soil gets dry, it can become compacted. The soil shrinks in around the roots of your plant, and pulls away from the edge of the pot. When this happens, the soil gets hydrophobic (it repels water). Simple top watering will not be effective- the waste will run down those gaps at the side, maybe saturate a little into the top and edges, but leave the center of the pot bone dry. The solution? Give your plant a good soak. Fill your sink with water, and fully submerge the plants soil. It may float at first, but if you hold it under for a few seconds it should stay down. Leave it to soak for an hour or two (longer for bigger pots), then allow the pot to drain. Your pot MUST have a drainage hole if you

Jill Dinnan on Instagram: "My favorite trick 💚 I’ve done this a lot of times, and it always works for me. Water the plant a little more often until there are good roots (a few weeks usually). Expect a little bit of shock to the plant until those roots are established. And, don’t be surprised if it’s a few months before you see any new leaves form. They’ll start at the end of your original string, then eventually they’ll grow from the other leaves as well. arch interieurs on Instagram: "A creative way to use planters in a living room by hanging them up and down with ropes is to create a vertical garden or a dynamic hanging installation. Here’s how you can do it: 1. Tiered Rope Planters: Use sturdy, natural fibers like jute or hemp ropes to hang different sized planters at varying heights from the ceiling. You can knot the ropes at intervals to suspend each planter, creating a cascading effect. This setup adds vertical interest and depth to your space. 2. Macramé Hangers: Incorporate macramé rope hangers to bring in an artisanal, boho-chic vibe. The handcrafted knots can cradle the planters, with some hanging higher and others lower, creating an organic look. You can even choose planters of different textures and colors to contrast with the
Farmer Gracy on Instagram: "Choose your favourite colour combination! Pot size is 40cm but you can do this with smaller pots and fewer bulbs. This would work with any combination of tulips, hyacinths, crocuses, muscari and dwarf iris, so you can get creative with colour and plant your own bulb lasagne for a display like this next spring.
