Tokyo- harajuku- clash between old and new

I found harajuku a particularly inspiring place. I first visited the Meiji Jingu temple where I saw a traditional Japanese wedding and people were writing their prayers to hang up. Then a short walk away was the bustling streets with shops filled with pink and pastel colours purely for young girls to dress up in the style of a harajuku girl- these were cheap and maybe more tacky shops targeted at the younger generation.
