Slice the log into ½-inch pieces. Assemble the Base: Spray a baking pan and layer half of the phyllo slices. Open up the ribbons and let them fall naturally into the pan. Dee | Food for everyone on Instagram: "12 Days of Christmas Appetizers Pt 11 🎅 Easy spinach and feta pastries 1 x sheet puff pastry Filling: 1 x onion chopped 150g frozen spinach 1/2 tsp oregano or mint 200g Feta cheese 100g Mozzarella 1 x egg separated (white mixed into filling and yolk mixed with 1 x tsp milk for brushing Sesame seeds Honey Preheat oven to 180C Sauté your onion for a few minutes then add frozen spinach plus 1/4 cup of water. Move the spinach around while the water evaporates and sauté till soft soft and warm. Let it cool down (on a plate is quickest) mix in crumbled feta, grated mozzarella and egg white and set aside. Meal Prep Champ🍱 on Instagram: "Baked Feta in Filo with Honey and Sesame seeds by @gayanefood * 3 tbsp melted butter or ghee * 200g pack feta, cut into 2 rectangles * 2 large filo pastry sheets * Thyme * 1 tbsp sesame seeds * Honey * Salad leaves to serve Preheat the oven to 180C. Spread the filo sheet and brush with melted butter. Spread some fresh thyme over it and fold in half. Place the feta at the end of a rectangle and wrap the filo around the cheese, brushing with butter as you go to make it stick. Don’t wrap too tight as the cheese will expand during baking. Brush the outside of the pastry with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for about 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven, drizzle with honey and sprinkle more thyme leaves. Serve with salad leaves. #

Place more filo dough on top and grease again. Sprinkle about 2-3 tablespoons of the grated cheeses (a total of 2 sheets per pastry)

Sesame seeds Preheat oven to 180C Grate and squeeze your zucchini and halloumi really well in a tea towel to get out the moisture. Don’t skip this step otherwise they’ll be too much liquid. Mix the honey and chilli flakes together and then add with the mozzarella, halloumi, zucchini and egg white and mix well.
