Here I’m making a hump mold from a plastic bowl that I like the shape of. I had to modify it slightly as I wanted the mold to have a curved base and so I used an existing piece of bisqued clay ( from a broken mold that I had in my studio) to do this. TMC Pottery Australia on Instagram: "Highlights on making this, . Let’s make a simple textured bowl. . To make this bowl, cut out the main body and place it on a mould, then go around and conform the clay. . Take a small bit of clay, score and slip, and attach for a foot ring. . Take a scraper and carve some texture into the side of your bowl. . Use your heat gun to firm up the clay and then take it off the mould. . Make sure the clay is firm enough to hold its own shape, before you remove it off the mould to avoid the clay warping. . Now clean up the inside of your bowl with your clay tools. . Allow your bowl to dry sufficiently enough before you bisque fire. Then apply some glaze, and then to finish your beautiful bowl glaze fire. . Happy potting to you 🤗 .
