m r s g o o d w i n on Instagram: "There have been some questions about the background on this latest set of cards.  I used a stencil and ink to brush some texture onto the background.  The stencil is from Dollar Tree and any stencil you have nearby will work.  The ink I used was VersaFine Clair; it was on my desk so that’s what I used.  Pigment-type inks will make darker, more bold marks but a chalk-type ink such as VersaMagic would create a soft, pretty background, too.  Play with different inks to see what works best for you.  The ink was applied with a soft bristle makeup brush dedicated to crafting.
