502 Global - Japanese Art and Architecture

Each of my "Global" boards is meant to be a STARTING POINT to explore a cultural group. Japanese art covers a wide range of art styles and media, including ancient pottery, sculpture in wood and bronze, ink painting and calligraphy on silk and paper, ukiyo-e woodblock prints, and more recently manga - modern Japanese cartoons - along with a myriad of other types of works of art. More about Japanese art on my Board 300.1 below.
