Kelly on Instagram: "This, for me, is the easiest way to work out panelling measurements and the easiest way to explain it. I just used a random example of a 4 x 2.4 metre wall. Draw yours to size according to your wall measurements. I simply play around with designs according to the layout of my furniture. For example, if my tv is big and in the centre of my wall, I would want panelling surrounding it accordingly. I then just draw lots of variations. You'll know which one suits or looks good (and if you don't, message me) The only thing I haven't included here is how to take into consideration the width of the panel, but I'll share that on another video so it's not too confusing. The wow value it gives is next level and I always get lots of compliments. A few of my own personal top TIPS if you’re about to embark on a similar project are… 1. Invest in some Mitre Shears from Amazon, these are an absolute lifesaver. 2. If you’re doing squares, we found it helpful to cut out a template from some cardboard. 3. Use bathroom Caulk to fill in the gaps as it expands and contracts to the humidity in your house. 4. Always use a satin or semi gloss paint as it helps to reflect the light making the wainscoting really stand out and is also so much easier to clean in the future. We sourced our mouldings from @skirtingwor
