These caves are on north island, very far from where most people venture, but a trip here is a must! 🥾Easy, 0.8 km out-and-back trail. 🚗 Long logging road to get here. Easier with 4WD. ⚠️ There is no cell service here, so plan ahead! #vancouverislandnorth #explorebc #hiddengems #caves #explorecanada #canadiancreators | 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗛 & 𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗬 𝗝𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗬 | 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 | fuelforthesole · Original audio

1.8K views · 394 reactions | ✨ FOUR kid (especially toddler) friendly hikes near Kanab in Southern Utah to add to your Spring Break itinerary if you’re visiting Zion or Bryce Canyon. ⬇️ I have a few more on my list for our next visit in May (Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Peekaboo Canyon), but can’t recommend something I haven’t personally done. We’ve done all of these with our 1-2 year old at the time of hiking, and wouldn’t hesitate to do them again. 1. Kanab Sand Caves 🥾 1.2 miles RT 📈 121 feet 🅿️ Free, large lot and 2wd accessible at the turn for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary 🚽 No 🐶 Dog friendly 📝 of course there will be drop offs from the caves so keep you toddlers close, but otherwise so much fun for them to climb and run 2. Belly of the Dragon 🥾1.8 mile RT (or much shorter if you just do the tunnel) 📈 181ft for entire trail, minimal in tunnel 🅿️ Free, large lot and 2wd accessible 🚽 No toilets 🐶 Dog friendly, but there is a 5 foot drop you may need to help them maneuver 📝 It’s a neat site, but don’t expect too much being a man made tunnel under the highway. Nice to visit if you’re in the area, but def wouldn’t travel extra to get here. Despite being man-made, this is not permission to leave graffiti — treat with respect as you would any other location. 3. The Toadstools 🥾 1.5 mile RT 📈 Minimal, follows a wash 🅿️ Free, large lot and 2wd accessible 🚽 Yes, last I was there, there were two outhouses 🐶 Dog friendly 📝 Located about halfway between Kanab and Page, it’s a great stop to break up the drive. There’s so many places for kids to run here. There is no shade or water so keep this in mind during warmer months. 4. The Nautilus 🥾1 mile RT 📈 Minimal, you hike along a wash 🅿️ Free, but very few spots. Can park just down the road at White House, but this will add an additional mile RT 🚽 No toilets, but continue half a mile further and there will be toilets at White House Campground 🐶 Dog friendly 📝 Check condition of White House Trailhead Road, as I’ve heard recently there has been some closures. Would NOT attempt driving after a rain. ✨ Any other toddler friendly hikes in this area we need to check out? I wouldn’t hesitate to do any of these again in the future! | Mallory ↟⛰︎↟ Southwest Hiking + Adventure | michaelmarcagimusic · Scared to Start

5.5K views · 786 reactions | Tips for a 7 day road trip in Washington 👇👇 Road trips are our favorite way to travel - we feel like you see the most and have the flexibility to change plans if plan A doesn’t always work out. If you want to road trip through Washington following this itinerary- here are a few tips! 📍 Start your road trip in Portland, OR! Fly into PDX, rent a car, and drive into Washington from there. The first stop of the road trip is only an hour or so away from the Portland airport. At the end of the trip, fly out of Seattle. 🗺️ Don’t spread yourself too thin - YES there are sooo many other spots to see not included in this itinerary but trying to squeeze everything in will lead to wayyyy too much driving and less time enjoying each spot. 🚗 Rent a 4WD vehicle if possible - many of the best hikes are located down somewhat difficult forest roads and high clearance vehicles make navigating those much easier. 🏨 Change up where you are staying. Many people ask where to base themselves when road tripping through Washington. Our best advice is to get an accommodation for a few nights near each location and not staying at one place the whole time. This will cut down your driving!! Any questions?? Drop them in the comments! And follow @thetravelingdans for more travel and adventure inspiration in the PNW and beyond 🫶 #pnw #pnwroadtrip #washington #washingtonroadtrip #westcoastroadtrip #roadtrip #usaroadtrip🇺🇸 #washingtonhikes #nationalparks #roadtrippin #travelinspiration #travel #roadtrips #adventuretime #summertrip #summerroadtrip | DANNY & DANIE | travel | hiking | adventure📍PNW | Ekkstacy · alright (feat. Recommended itinerary below ⬇️ 📍Cape Kiwanda @discoverpacificcity • This is my favorite coastal town in Oregon 🌊 located approximately 2 hours from Portland. • Skipped breakfast or need a pick-me-up? Head over to @stimuluscoffeebakery for a pastry and the best coffee. ☕️ • Check the tide levels with a simple Google search of the area for optimal starfish sightings and sea anemones. Low tide is the best time to explore sea caves. 🐚 • Hike the sand dunes and end the day with dinner at @pelicanbrewing and a campfire on the beach 🪵 📍Silver Falls State Park @friendsofsilverfalls • Hike the “Trail of Ten Falls” to see an old-growth forest featuring 10 waterfalls, with three you can walk under. 🌲 • Stay at @smith_creek_village within the state park with cabin and camping options available. Check out their restaurant with delicious options to refuel. 🏕️ 📍 Mount Hood @mthoodterritory • Head up to @timberlinelodge to ski, hike, mountain bike, and explore Mount Hood. 🚠 • Backpack the trail “McNeil Point” for views of not only Mount Hood but also Mount Rainier, Baker, and St. Helens on a clear day. 🥾 . . . . . #oregon #bucketlistadventures #pnw #pnwadventures #mthood #silverfallsstatepark #capekiwanda #pacificnorthwest #traveloregon #visitoregon #optoutside #getoutthere #natureaddict #bestoforegon #trailhaven #pnwcollective #wildernessculture | Brooke | PNW Adventure and Photography | The Spyres · Looking for a Place

16K views · 1.1K reactions | The Hobbit Cave (Lower Clear Creek) Located along Zion Carmel Highway, just .25 mile away from the trailhead of Canyon Overlook. Huge thanks to @utahwithkids for sharing about this hike! The total hike is 1.6 miles, that’s if you can walk through the slot canyon and continue through. The water levels were about 1-3 feet high due to recent rainfall, so we were unable to go through it. Because of this, it made our hike just a little over 1/2 a mile. This hike is hidden and can be hard to find! Since the parking for it is the overflow street parking for Canyon Overlook, and there’s no real markings, it can often be not found and not known about. The best way to find it: Go past the trailhead for the Canyon Overlook. Find the sign on the north side of the road that says “Tunnel Ahead, Watch for Stopped Vehicles” and park in front of it. You can best find it as you’re driving West back into the tunnel. (Meaning you’ll have to turn around to go back to the trailhead.) The trailhead has man made stairs and goes straight down into a gulley. Go right and the hobbit hole (tunnel) will be right there. Keep following the sand and you’ll find the slot canyon! There are no shuttles that go to this part of the park, so you do have to drive to the trailhead. It’s a really cool hike! Short and sweet and easy to do. We did get a lot of sand in our shoes, but it was so worth the really cool slot canyon! *Be mindful of the weather and don’t hike if there are Flash Flood Warnings. Have you done this before? Are you going to do it? Definitely worth the effort to find it and try it out! We could have played around here a lot longer if we didn’t have plans to do more hikes. Let me know what you think when you do it! #zionnationalpark #zionhikeswithkids #zionhikes #stgeorgekids #stgkids #zionnps | St. George Kids | Caleb Hearn · Little Bit Better
