Unique ways to teach students verbs like Gustar (that are fun!)
Many teachers introduce gustar in all its forms and the verbs like gustar at once and this confuses students. To achieve mastery, take gustar and verbs like gustar one step at a time. Instead of teaching a weeklong unit, spend 10-15 minutes a day and teach verbs like gustar over 2-3 weeks, combined with other topics during class. This type of learning leads to mastery vs. the learn it and forget it model. Here's how I do it.

VERBOS SER/ESTAR - DOCTOR / PLACE Acronym Handout
This is the definitive DOCTOR / PLACE acronym handout for your Spanish students learning the verbs SER and ESTAR. The problem with other acronym images or handouts is that they don't explain the terms. Believe it or not, the words "positon" and "relationship" might not make sense to your students until you provide a simple no-nonsense explanation in English. Also, the Acronym D.O.C.T.O.R. is missing "Possessions" so I added the "P" to create my own acronym for the verb SER: Doctor "P".---------
