I'm fascinated by the relationship between a piece of art, the space it lives in, and the way it is in conversation with the viewer. How does the piece make you feel? What does it make you think about? How does it critique or comment on the culture at the time? What did the artist do that has never been done before? How did the artist draw inspiration from other works of art and what did they personally contribute? Consider the Hegelian dialectic of art.
