"THIS PIECE HAS SOLD & REMAINS IN MY SHOP AS A PORTFOLIO PIECE This solid wood antique desk/vanity has received a grand makeover. Quite frankly, she's unrecognizable! Hours of work were poured into her, but she was well worth it! Once all repairs were complete, this beautiful piece was refinished using Country Chic Paint in Dark Roast. A stubborn layer of veneer was removed from the top and the solid wood surface was sanded smooth, wood bleached and re-stained using a combination of Provincial and Natural stains. The spindle legs were stripped, and re-stained using the same mix and then sanded back for a timeworn aesthetic. Broken appliqués were removed and missing appliqués were replaced with new ones. All drawers were fully lined using a high quality wallpaper by Rasch, with a gorgeous
