Sort of related to last reblog but one of my BlueSky moots brought up something that adds another layer to how Egwene has been with Rand this season which makes so much sense and idk how I didn't see it before. Basically she thinks that Egwene murdered the shit out of him in the arches which is one of the factors of why she thinks she's been clinging to him so hard this season cause she's scared of what she might do in the future.

Rand on the other hand is terrified that he might kill her in the future but his response to that is to push her away (which is what he does in that breakup scene)

Basically they're both terrified of killing each other at some point for different reasons and have entirely different responses to that.

But of course, in classic Rand and Egwene fashion, neither of them communicate this to each other

Moraine is so complex, she would kill and die for Rand al’Thor without hesitation but she also develops a stress rash every time she sees him happy

I’m wondering if the show is working towards a link between Rand’s advice to Moiraine about how to handle huge amounts of the One Power - don’t submit - and what she saw in the Rings in Rhuidean. A sort of “do not go gentle into that good night, but rage, rage against the dying of the light” kind of idea.

So much of her life has been about accepting and submitting to the path the Wheel has laid before her, but what happens if she fights against this new path? Or tries to find another way? What happens if she does not submit?
