I just got my ticket for foss-north 2025 (on IndieWeb Events). Very much looking forward to bagder’s opening talk, and many others on the schedule that will have me move in and out of the different tracks.
sknebel made sure to ping me today to remind me of the Galactic Bonus Homebrew Website Club going down this evening. So I am there now!

Just realised the next IndieWeb Pop-Up event is going to be all about Sensitive Data on Your Personal Website. I have spoken about this at many occations and even informally during in-person IWCs. Questions always came up when people see me publishing a wide range of information on my site, from home address to phone numbers and gender/sexuality.

Wondering what others think. How much do people take different risk factors into consideration? What more would people be willing to publish? I have been toying with the idea of my tax returns for a while now… Let’s chat!

So stoked for the IndieAuth Pop-Up Session that I am hacking my hodgpodg blogging system so I can tell the world I am going to attend!

Following this IndieWeb Planet by Malcolm should make it follow me back? Challenge accepted!

A fresh month, another Homebrew Website Club Meetup!

Tonight, starting at and going to at least , there will be a virtual meetup taking place on an IndieWeb Mumble server. For more details, please see the wiki.

Of course you can just drop in whenever you feel like it, but if you want to RSVP, you can send a webmention to this post or add your name on the wiki.

Hope to hear you all tonight!

One thing I hadn’t gotten around to yesterday was setting up email for this domain. I just finished setting it up, and put in a request with Uberspace to remove the old hosting instance. Fingers crossed I got everything right, no more going back now.

Welcome to the new licit.li!

What changed? You might ask. Well… nothing? Everything? The website has now been moved from Uberspace to a VPS at Hetzner. This should allow me slightly more granular (and also easier) control over the technology stack I am running.

Big thanks to sknebel for walking me through setting up my first server! It might still not be optimal in places, but at least I have more control now.

Just added a new bookmarklet: Flip Video.

I have started using certain ASMR channels as an alternative to static white noise. Some videos however do not match with the output, e.g. they will do something on the left and it’ll sound on the right. The bookmarklet will take the first VIDEO element on the page and flip it horizontally, fixing the problem. Even works on YouTube.

Not completely content with it yet, but as of today, my homepage should also render fine on smaller screens. I wonder if Flexbox can help me out…
