Instead of dwelling on the obstacles, I reminded myself of past successes where I had overcome similar challenges. I visualized the future I was working towards—a successful project completion that would propel my and my team's professional development. This positive outlook not only kept me energized but also helped inspire my team. We collaborated more effectively, supported each other by cheering each other on and recognizing one another's accomplishments. We found creative solutions to our problems. By cultivating positivity and focusing on our shared vision, we created a culture of resilience that drove us to succeed, even in the toughest times.

You’re in a leadership role and facing tough times. How can you stay resilient?
Challenge yourself on what change means to you currently. If the future was in an optimal state, what would that look like to you? What changes would you need to make to your mindset and actions? How can you empower your team to help influence the direction of your team? If you work in a performance and metrics-driven environment, how would you inspire your leaders and broader team to buy into the big picture? Build a new relationship and align with partners who are driven and can help you lead. Write down your goals and encourage your team to do the same. Dreams without a written plan...are just dreams. Do the hard things first.

Surrounding yourself with trusted and experienced colleagues and mentors can be instrumental in how you approach change. Lean on experts for their perspective, but also be sure to write down your goals and action plans to optimize how you work through change.
