Before applying...
You should have considerable experience working with NeoForge, in its community or in its repositories.

If you've just joined and are thinking of applying, consider delaying that decision for a few months and involve yourself in the community first. Talk with the people in the chats, contribute to our repositories and projects, and generally hang out with us!

We take into account your previous recent involvement when deciding applications, so having been around for a while to "build up a reputation" greatly helps. (It's difficult to judge someone as being comfortable and reputable in our community if applying is one of the first few interactions you have with the team!)

Once you think you're comfortable with the community and the team, and you've gained considerable experience for whatever position you're applying for, go for it!
What role are you applying for?

Moderators are responsible for keeping the community safe and healthy, by moderating conversations and users when appropriate.

Maintainers are the developers who work on fixing and improving our code and infrastructure, in collaboration with the community of contributors and other developers.

You may apply also for roles not explicitly listed. These roles include, but may not be limited to:
  • Documentation Team (responsible for the upkeep of the documentation site) 

If you plan to apply to multiple roles, please select one role when applying through this form, and do not submit another application until the results of your previous application have been communicated.
