hyunjin woke up, his hair in every direction possible, his eyes squinted barely open, as he searched the room for you.
“baby? where are you?” he mumbled, as he got up from the bed sleepily, yawning in between as he struggled to stay awake while walking.
since you had given birth, you had struggled with falling sleep and often made your way to the nursery most nights but it was okay, because your daughter was very much just as nocturnal as you were.
“y/n?” he called out, he went across the hall into the nursery, finding you exactly where he thought you were. “hyun,—“you need to sleep sweetheart, she’s not going to disappear if you sleep for one night, it hasn’t even been a week.” he said softly.
he walked closer to you, as he saw you take in what you both created, she was gorgeous.
she was beautiful, she had your eyes and nose, but she was practically a cut board cut out of her father, down to each and every mole he has, she now has on her body, she had his ears and his big lips.
“she’s ours?” you asked to no one in particular. “she is my love, we created her.” he replied, pressing a kiss to the crown of your head, going to pick up the baby.
you whined, “hey, i had her—“she has the same mole under her eye?” he said in disbelief, taking in his daughters face like you did.
you laughed, “she does, and she has all the other ones as well.” you said, making his eyes widen and look into yours, “really?” he said excitedly, now fully awake.
the newborn started to cry, signifying her hunger. you guys were trying out breastfeeding first and then after a while you were going to switch her to normal baby bottles.
“she’s hungry.” you both said at the same time, surprising one another. “give me her, you can have her back once she’s not fussy.” he handed you back your daughter, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“what d’you want for breakfast pretty?” he asked as you lifted your shirt, giving your baby access.
“mm, im not hungry.” you mumbled, yawning. “you have to eat.” hyunjin insisted, “I’ll make you an omelet?” he asked, “yes please.” you replied softly, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“come downstairs when you’re done?” “I will,I love you.” you randomly confessed, making his cheeks turn a rosy pink.
“I love you so much more, baby.” he said as he waved to you, walking downstairs to get started on the omelet.
despite being with him since you two were teenagers, he still gave you that tingly feeling in your tummy, one that you knew wouldn’t ever go away any time soon.

a/n: so one (1) of you guys wanted to know how the whole "jinnie bringing y/n coffee and a bagel and seungmin snitching on them to cherry" incident had gone and that was all i needed to write a drabble apparently. this is mostly from hyunjin's pov, since we already saw how y/n felt about the whole thing. anywayyy, i hope you guys enjoy this little bonus part<3
Hyunjin didn't really think this through.
One moment he was overhearing Chaeryeong and Minho talk about how stressed out you had been over tomorrow's deadline for one of your many art pieces, and the next one he was entering the visual arts building holding a carton cup holder that helped him carry two iced coffees and a paper bag with your favourite bagel inside.
Just like that, he had now found himself trying his best to ignore the nosy looks he was getting from the art majors that walked past him as he looked for the studio you spent most of your time in. Some of them recognizing him and not really minding him being there, and some others perceiving him as some kind of intruder.
He couldn't help but feel a bit awkward, not to say out of place.
It was not like he had never served as a coffee delivery before. He had brought both you and Seungmin coffee to the studio many times — hence why some art majors had recognized him right off the bat, apart from his manifest popularity. But what made all those other times different from this one was that he had been asked to before, unlike now.
He knew he was welcome back then, but you weren't on the best of terms now, and therefore, he didn't know if you would accept his unannounced, small act of service this time around.
The closer he got to the studio, the more nervous he grew.
Until he was standing on the door, and caught a glimpse of you from afar.
