Berastagi is a small town not far from Lake Toba. It’s overlooked by a couple of volcanos and I spent some of my time there doing small watercolors of the surrounding landscape. The bottom two paintings were painted on a very thick piece of watercolor paper, (400lb.). I must have been running out of paper to have painted on both sides, (5.25in. by 8in.).
