multiple MusicBrainz IDs for one WD item?
There are cases where there are multiple release groups mentioned in the articles or different wikipedia languages talk about different release groups.
- Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Q1607948) has different release groups for different languages:
[16879ae9-c718-328e-b2e4-cef03537eb4b (english)], [340091b2-94bc-40e8-b31b-dcfa8917b61b (french)], [8983e821-4de3-4776-9047-4077cd498096 (spanish)], [6f0e087e-83e2-4a9c-b60a-494104d5a7ab (italian)],
- The Wired CD (Q7775226) is about one release group, but the article also mentions the remix release group
- others in Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P436#"Single value" violations
So adding/having multiple values for these is probably fine. What probably shouldn't be done is adding lots of values on discographies. Or should it? --JonnyJD (talk) 16:24, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Conflicts with
I've added conflicts with constraints for all other MusicBrainz properties, deliberately leaving out MusicBrainz work ID (P435) because Wikipedia doesn't distinguish singles (MusicBrainz release group) from songs (MusicBrainz work). - Nikki (talk) 09:16, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
- I've also added conflicts for television program (Q15416) and film (Q11424) because those are almost certainly soundtracks which should be their own item linked from the film or TV programme using soundtrack release (P406) instead. - Nikki (talk) 22:17, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
