Wrong merge?
editHi @Epìdosis: Looks like a wrong merge to me:
- GND 119684195: Gerardus, Theodoricus (Wirkungsdaten: 1529-1561), niederländ. Arzt u. Übersetzer
- GND 130590711: Gerarde, Derrick (Wirkungsdaten: 1540-1580), Komponist, wohl fläm. Herkunft = de:Dyricke Gerarde

- The problem seem to be described by source (P1343): BEIC Digital Library (Q51955019) in Q61483735. This link doesn't describe "Gerardus, Theodoricus 1540-1580" as claimed. It's just a link to a library catalog without biographical data. Has there been a discussion about the problems with the imports from BEIC Digital Library? @Marcok: FYI.--Kolja21 (talk) 08:17, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Kolja21, Marcok: With some difficulties, I think I managed to unmerge and distinguish fairly Derrick Gerarde (Q1200176): Flemish composer (fl. 1540-1580) and Theodoricus Gerardus (Q61483735): physician and translator (1490s?-1529?). Regarding BEIC: unfortunately the authority file of BEIC has never been visible due to the ILS they use, so some years ago the import was made through not-optimal described by source (P1343), with link to the bibliographic records connected to the authority record (in this case, the bibliographic record hint to the physician; BEIC collection is mostly centered on history of science). The collaboration of BEIC with Wikimedia Italia is still ongoing (it:Progetto:GLAM/BEIC) and I know they have plans, in the next months, to make their authority file visible, so that old P1343 con finally be substituted with true external IDs; I hope it will happen soon. Currently the Wikimedian in Residence is @Spinoziano (BEIC):, he probably has more updates. --Epìdosis 09:55, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, @Epìdosis: Yes, they are about to publish a new website, but I don't know exactly when this will happen and how the site will be structured. I will keep you updated.--Spinoziano (BEIC) (talk) 08:12, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
