
James Licari
James Licari graduated in 2016 with a Masters of Science (by research) and in 2003 with a Bachlors degree in Conservation and Restoration Studies (with honours) through the University of Malta. The latter took place over four years at the Institute for to Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage, Bighi. His academic and empirical specialisation was within the field of conservation-restoration of Archaeological, Architectural, and Historical: metals, ceramics, glass, stone and composite materials, which was taught at international standards by an influx of foreign experts from different countries. Following his graduation, he attended other courses locally and abroad. He worked full-time as a conservator-restorer, within the conservation-restoration division of Heritage Malta. This entails the preservation of the national collections as well as providing academic and empirical support for any educational programs/ public relations. He also works as a freelance conservator-restorer.
