one thing that especially frustrates me about the switch 2 is that it feels like it's pricing kids out of gaming. i grew up during the nintendo ds era when you could get a console for $130 and new games for $30, and i knew a ton of kids at my school who owned a ds. it's really hard for me to imagine kids in 2025 toting around $450 consoles and $80 games with anywhere near that same level of ubiquity
