You know it, you love it, it's another Silent Hill monster design for Angela Orosco. TW: Themes of sexual assault. this time the basic thoughts are 1. I wanted a Bubblehead Nurse-esque humanoid enemy 2. The creature has a more human mask for a face, while the body is rotten/decaying. 3. The blood implies a castration, like the figures in the stairwell during Angela's final scene of the game. 4. The tool and the shirt are intended to allude to Angela's father's background as a lumberjack. I like to think as enemies these guys would have a more intelligent AI and would pursue Angela longer and more intelligently than other enemies, pulling open doors and stuff. Oh I also made the outfit design reminiscent of James to try and tie them together, since sometimes Angela sees James as a vision of her father

@ mangoso on twitter/bsky made a 3D model of the wire mother for me!!!

If u havent seen her before, Wire Mother is a fan monster for Angela Orosco from the game Silent Hill 2. Below is text from the original post

Wire Mother's name is a reference to the Wire Mother / Cloth Mother experiments. In the experiment there are two "mothers" for these baby monkeys, one covered in soft cloth, and the other bare wire. The wire mother was the one that offered no comfort and only had food, i.e. only the bare essentials to keep you alive. The babies always preferred the cloth mothers and only went to the wire mother when they were hungry. Wire Mother here has strips of cloth torn from her frame, implying she was once a form of comfort but now only offers what she has to. She has barbed wire around her lower half, a way to protect herself. The wire cage she's suspended in makes her inaccessible to anyone, but also means she can't do much. The golden wires she travels on are meant to show how she's restricted to the paths that are set for her, (in real life, by her abusive husband). I think she'd be a penultimate boss or smth. Oh and the bottom cage is a hoop skirt frame, to represent traditional ideas of feminity being restrictive too

The real answer is "idk i didnt wanna think about it" but i love "constricted in place by the barb wire." Thats ripe w that good good symbolism we love in Silent Hill

another monster for angela, but it aint done yet. but idk if ill be motivated to finish this one anytime soon. I call it Pincushion. I like to think this one is really fast >:o and it can shoot its pins at you. anyway, this one is based on where angela stabbed her father, and maybe how she feels like she slaughtered him like an animal. but also he was kind of a sacrifice for her freedom? idk!

I wanted to make some monster designs for Angela Orosco when she was going through silent hill

I call these ones Peach Form, Brother/Father, and Wire Mother. Mama is just a sketch rn but the idea is she'd move around suspended from golden thread

Wanna tell me the meaning behind the designs?

Oh the moment I've been waiting for...

TW: sexual assault

For those that don't know, Angela Orosco from SH2 suffered repeated sexual assault as a child at the hands of her father and brother. It's unclear where her mom was during this time, but it seems like she wasn't much help to Angela.

I picture her game as a survival horror w/ no weapons, a la Amnesia.

Okay so Peach Form is supposed to evoke a moldy fruit (peach namely lol). A spoiled fruit. The fish hooks are meant to be both binding and forceful. And the creature has had its legs removed, emphasizing it's helplessness. I imagine this one being a common, not very dangerous enemy that just kind of stumble after Angela.

Brother/Father's hands are based on speculums from the 17th century. The four unbound arms and lack of face are meant to represent the brother and the father playing similar, violent roles in Angela's life. The bound upsidedown figure I like to think of as representative of Angela's/her mother's lack of action/agency in this horrible situation. I see these as a large common enemy, maybe even reuse animations from SH3 if I'm pretending this fake game came out during the PS2 era haha

hey! i've been in talks with Mohammed/@help-mona.

their campaign (verified here) has been going on for quite a while, and donations have significantly slowed down.

i've been a bit destitute lately, but i was able to chip in 50 euros.

i'd love to see someone match my donation, or even match 10% of it.

if you can't, i'd greatly appreciate it if you could help spread it around.

even with small donations, little by little we can build bridges to safety.

but only if people are willing to help lay the bricks.

Mohammed's campaign has been slowing a bit recently. A few donations would go a long way, please consider giving something if you can!

Just wondering, are you still alive because I see some rumors about this and why is your name Rest in Miggs?

Do you have plan to work on main series of SpongeBob SquarePants as a storyboard artist/director and/or supervising director?
