I made a pinterest board for my Audrey..☺️ It will forever be a work in progress as I add or remove pins depending on my mood and how she develops as a character and what pieces of media move me in the future….but as of now there are 200 pins in there for inspo and aesthetic! I put a lot of thought into every pin I decided to save so if you’re curious about any of them and how they relate to Audrey Grace, you can go ahead and ask me about it! x) But anyway thank you for looking if you do!

It’s an open AU for the fandom so there have been many people who have made stories for it with their own characters, and some of them have made stories together in their own friend groups. So there’s no one single story! You can check out this blog @truffula–flu to find the premise and mechanics for the AU (or just click [here]), as well as reblogs of the current players in the AU.

It’s when someone decides to take most or all of the “onceler” aspects out of their onceler OC, so that they become a regular OC without any ties to the onceler. The change doesn’t necessarily have to happen instantly either, like maybe they’ve been rping and making so many headcanons for their onceler OC that over the months or years their onceler OC barely has any connection to the onceler anymore, not in looks, not in goals, not in backstory, not in personality or interests, nothing, and they look back and realize, hey, it might be fun to officially deoncelerize and go nuts with creativity! But the general etiquette is that a onceler OC is a onceler OC so long as the creator still says so.
But the most important posts from that link are these:
[link 1] The very first deoncelerized onceler askblogs (we called them onceler askblogs back then instead of onceler ocs). It started in our Thneedville High AU. At the beginning it was just people having fun with headcanons for what their oncelers would be like if they weren’t oncelers, and gradually it became a whole movement where people actually decided to change their characters permanently.
[link 3] When deoncelerization was first proposed, many people were upset. Which is funny since one of the big reasons that deoncelerization was proposed in the first place was because the purists in the fandom were very vocal about HATING the fact that some ppl were letting their onceler askblogs deviate too much from canon movie onceler. (The fandom by november 2012 was very divided between AU askblog enjoyers and canon movie purists (i personally have always liked both canon and askblogs tho)) And then people became upset thinking that deoncelerization meant the end of the onceler fandom. 😂 No way!!!
There are people from outside of the fandom who have posted onceler fandom analyses claiming that the fandom disappeared overnight at the end of 2012 due to deoncelerization or due to imploding from too many askblogs deviating too far away from canon. This is NOT true. Like sure, maybe some ppl deoncelerized because they didn’t want to associate with the fandom anymore, and we respected their decision if so. But from my experience many deoncelerized characters continued to interact with oncelers or other lorax characters, and people in the onceler fandom continued to follow and enjoy the stories of characters who got deoncelerized. The onceler fandom will always be the friends we’ve made along the way and I mean this so seriously.

i loved drawing all the characters and being able to experiment with doing something more “elaborate” this wasn’t my only piece now i also did one of Discord and Bill!! it was a lot of fun to draw them although at the same time difficult anyway i am very happy with the results and i hopee that you like them too <33

Hi Miru!! So, I'm sending you this ask cause I know you're in the Onceler fandom for a long time, and I'm facing a problem here. I'm absolutely enamoured by Onceler's character, his references to pop/vintage culture. I love seeing the Onceler mixed with vintage stuff, it's why I'm down bad for the 72 animation too, and I wish the story told in HBCIB wasn't so short. I wanted to see how everything happened, how people interacted with him, how was Thneedville when he was the center of attention, anything that explores this period of his life more.
And I really wish I could find more works that explore Onceler's (Greedler to be more specific) character as his own thing. Involving details of his story, the rise and fall of his company, period and time references (like vintage stuff), much like it happens in HBCIB and specially in the 1972 special. I really find the AUs and ocs very creative but it's hard to find content exploring the Onceler more deeply or going into more details about his factory, his fame period, you know what I'm talking about. I was wondering if you have any fic (or content in general) recommendations? I can't stop thinking about it. I don't mind reading normaler stuff too, if it's included. Sending you all the thanks in the world if you know about anything! I checked out some AU's here on tumblr that are related to this and they're amazing (like the rust factory) but I wish I could find more stories, versions and different takes made by other people. The Onceler has such a great potential for that.
Hello! I see you’ve already read through all of floooopafloooopa’s analysis post which means you’ve probably already seen the @398thneedvilledrive askblog too. And other than The RustFactory AU, I know that references to vintage things are scattered across askblogs and fanart [1][2] throughout the fandom, but it’ll be too time consuming for me to think of and find them all. xD Here are two 1972 onceler askblogs that come to mind though if you hadn’t found them already: @y72leraskblog and @ask-the-72-onceler
