Txakolin

Txakolin is a Basque "pintxos" restaurant where you sit at the bar. Pintxos are a piece of bread with something on it and a toothpick through it. At the end of the meal you are charged by the number of toothpicks left on the plate. And if you like wine, you should try the basque txacoli.

Somorrostro. Located also in Barceloneta area this is a modern Catalan restaurant with an open kitchen and a dinner menu, which is affordable and quite good. Small selection but great quality for the price. Definitely worth a visit for dinner.

Kaiku

Kaiku. May be my favorite in the city. Great place to enjoy the beach walk and nice food. Weekly day they have a very good "menu" for 11$. If you ask "a la carta", they have excelent options, fresh fish (delicious "berberechos" from Galicia coast) and best rices (I really like "arroz del Chef").

Can Lluís

Can Lluís it´s also a great catalan restaurant and much cheaper and authentic. Hightly recomended!

Margarita Blue is a mediterranean-mexican restaurant. Although lattely the ambient is more for turist than locals. still is one of my favorite places. And for me, has one of the best dishes in town; Tomates verdes fritos. This starter worth the visit. And don´t forget that is also a great place for drinks, with huge offer.

Bar La Baguada

Bar La Baguada. It´s a new place on town that I really love :) A small bar open from 8:30 am to 12 p.m. It´s an excellent option to enjoy the best tapas of the city. Really delicious(my favorite is one made with cod and "romescu" souce). And they are made in a catalan style, not bask (as most famous are from), not spanish. You will love them! Enjoy!
