So let me show you how to make it so you don't have to order takeout. Chop green onions into large chunks. Then we're going to slice up an onion. You want to cut it into thick slices and set it aside. You're going to need fresh rice noodles. Make sure to pick the softest ones at the grocery store. You've been here before you know my dad's peeling trick. Gently rub it against the cutting board and then loosen right up. Set it aside. In my last video I used beef tenderloin to make the chow fun but this time I'm using flank steak. And we're going to tender with some baking soda. To that add some oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, chicken bouillon, white or black pepper, add some cornstarch. Give it a good mix and set it aside. Now let's make the sauce with some dark soy sauce for color, regular soy sauce for seasoning, oyster sauce or mushroom sauce if you're allergic, chow shing wine, some more chicken bouillon, and sugar for balance. Give it a good mix and let's take it to the stove. Add oil to your wok and add in the marinated beef. I make this recipe about two times a month so you know it's tried and true. Once the beef is cooked through, set it aside. Now add the onions into the pan and let it soak up all that flavor. Then we're going to add in all the noodles. Add in some extra oil so it doesn't stick to the pan. If I'm being honest, these noodles are about two days old and they're kind of breaking up on me. Once the noodles get a little bit of a char, add in all the sauce. Add the beef back in. Give it a gentle toss. Add in bean sprouts. Green onions and finish it off with sesame oil. Last time I added eggs to this recipe and some of you gave me **** for it so I didn't add it for this one. But it's just extra protein. This hits every time.
