Add 1 Rope Climb every round. Complete as many rounds and repetitions as possible (AMRAP) in 9 minutes. “Norma” is a benchmark WOD designed by Paradiso CrossFit @paradisocommunity (Venice, CA, USA) that features a 9-minute AMRAP couplet of Rope Climbs and Snatches. They posted the workout to their YouTube as part of a “Shocktober,” a Halloween themed WOD series. The workout is apparently named for Norma Bates, the mother from the classic novel and movie, “Psycho.”

Fun Partner Workout with Pumpkin Med Ball

Break up work as needed between partners. Start with “pumpkin” (med ball) on ground for lateral jumps (over the pumpkin). After lateral jumps, working partner must have pumpkin. Partner A must pick med ball up to begin push presses. When partner A completes their set they hand med ball to partner B without letting it touch ground. If either partner drops med ball at any time (starting with the push-presses through the end of the workout), then both partners must do a 5 burpee penalty each.
