Selene (/sᵻˈliːni/ IPA, Σελενε in Olympian) is the Greek goddess of the Moon. Daughter of Hyperion and Theia, former generals of Kronos, she despises Zeus and his family. When Zeus overthrew Kronos and killed most of his generals, Selene was spared from punishment because Zeus found her attractive. She vowed revenge and hid in obscurity.
