I set the type at Anonima Impressori in Bologna, Italy. They helped with my Italian and did the final printing. If you’re wondering about the spotty inking, keep in mind it was hand-inked with brayers and the type was all inconsistent heights and material, including maple, type metal, brass, plastic, and maybe even some pine. Usually I prefer clean, solid ink coverage, but the imperfections on this remind me of that classic flexographic pizza box printing :)

Full branding for Italian restaurant oilio. The identity pays homage to the utility, fun, and history of olive oil and olives in the cuisine. oilio aims to acknowledge the shared experience of food and drink, all while recognizing the evolving nature of modern Italian cuisine. The movement in the logo is a nod to oil + olives and their ever-changing, bold, liquid nature.
