Santa Maria de la Cabez
Santa Maria de la Cabeza is a great patron Saint for wives. She was the wife of Saint Isidore the farmer. Isidore would often bring home as many coworkers as he could. She would pray for her pot to miraculously, refill itself, because she didn’t have enough food for everyone. It would. She’s also a great intercessor for dry places. She is known to bring rain to places of drought for those who ask for her intercession.

Saint Teresa of Avila & Saint Dymphna
This is my all time favorite story of Saint Teresa of Avila. She was walking through the convent one day and she saw this little boy. He asked her, “Who are you?” And she said “I am Teresa of Jesus. Who are you?” And he responded, “I am Jesus of Teresa.” Saint Dymphna is incredible too- she is the patron saint of mental health, and mental illness. She is a great intercessor for so many people close to me and a great great Saint to get to know!
Blessed Carlo Atcutis
Bl Carlo Acutis wasn’t afraid to die. His last words were, “I am happy to die because I have lived my life without wasting a minute on those things which do not please God.” He spent his life well. He was an English-born Italian Catholic youth and website designer who is best known for documenting Eucharistic miracles and the approved Marian apparitions around the world and cataloguing them onto a website which he created before his death from leukemia.
Saint Veronica
Veronica was moved with sympathy seeing Jesus carrying the cross up Calvary. She gave him her veil to wipe his forehead. Jesus gladly accepted her offer and when he returned the veil- the image of his face was miraculously imprinted on it.
Saint Agnes
Agnes was a beautiful young girl from a wealthy family in early Rome. She has many suitors who were upset by her resolution to give her entirety to Jesus. They tried many ways to kill her for being Christian. To mock her, they dragged her through the streets naked, but her hair grew so long it covered her entire body. They tried to burn her but the flames could not touch her. She is shown with a little lamb because of her incredible purity.
Blessed Pier Georgio Frassati
Known for hiking and mountain climbing. He would do outdoor activities with his friends and then share with them the love of Christ. He would even bet them to a game of pool and if he won they would have to go to confession and mass with him. And he rarely lost. His family found a book when he passed away at 24 filled with requests from the poor. He was always trying to find a way to get them anything they may need. He had thousands of homeless show up to his funeral, they were his true friends.
Saint Rita
Rita was widowed and joined the Augustinian sisters after her husband passed away. Various miracles are attributed to her and she was a mystic. She is shown with a small wound on her head indicating a partial stigmata from the crown of thorns, given to her from an Angel when she would gaze on our Lord. She carries the title Patroness of Impossible Causes and is the patroness of abused wives and heartbroken women. Her body remains incorrupt.
Saint Zita
The patron saint of doing ordinary things well, and patron saint of housekeeping. She is the patron saint of Lucca so I added a bike in her picture. Lucca is a tiny town in Italy known for everyone riding their bikes outside it’s beautiful walls. She was caught taking loaves of bread out to the poor. They asked her to open her apron and wildflowers fell out. To this day the town has flower festivals in her name.
Saints Series: Saint Isidore
Saint Isidore is the patron saint of farmers and laborers. He is known for over 400 miracles. Some of the miracles during his lifetime, were if he was coming back late from Mass, and his workers would complain to the boss. The boss would look out and see angels plowing the field in his place, and he would think it was Isidore. Saint Isidore, patron saint of farmers and laborers, pray for us.

Saints Series: Saint Anne
Then my family was asked to found a city in Michigan. They moved westward and helped to found the city of Detroit. They moved on July 24th, 1701 and broke ground on the church two days later. It was July 26th, the feast of Saint Anne. They knew immediately Saint Anne was an important intercessor for them. Since then, so many of my family members have had Anne in their name- and I am proud to have her name in mine. Saint Anne, pray for us!!
Saints Series: Day 8 - Saint Anne
Saint Anne is a really important saint in my family. In 1658, my ancestors moved from France to found the city of Quebec. They started building a Catholic Church and miraculous healings were happening attributed to a statue in the sanctuary. The statue was of Saint Anne. Pilgrims were coming from all over to be healed there. They named the church Saint Anne in her honor.
