Heat up your waffle iron to medium high(you may need to use a bit of spray oil so it doesn’t stick). cook until crispy to the touch. While your waffle cooks maybe your blueberry syrup (I quadruple the recipes and makes a big batch so i can use it throughout the week) you can do this by simply microwaving your berries for 30-60 seconds until they start to burst and then just mash them with a fork.
