1 Week More: Count Down to Les Miserables

My love for the musical Les Mis began in middle school when my big sister gave me her 2-disk soundtrack of the Original Broadway Cast. I would sit in my room and listen to those cds over & over until I knew every song by heart. In high school I had the privilege of being the sole stage manager for our drama club's production of LM, an overall incredible experience. In 7 days the world will know what I have known for 8 years: “even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.”

"One Day More" Les Mis (High School Edition)
Stage managing my high school's production of Les Miserables was both a challenging and rewarding experience. Our cast of 50+ students did a fantastic job with the limited time and resources available to us. Click on the picture above to watch our performance of "One Day More."

Two of my favorite people (Jason Segel & Neil Patrick Harris) singing one of my favorite Les Mis songs ("Confrontation"). Nuff said.

Day 3 of my countdown features Hugh Jackman getting back to his Broadway roots! Here he is performing with one of my other favorite actors/singers Neil Patrick Harris during the 2011 Tony Awards. (Is it just me, or were the 2011 Tony's by far the best in recent history?)

Say what you will about Anne Hathaway but I've always admired her spunkiness. Here is a clip of her singing a parody of "On My Own" to her current Les Mis costar, Hugh Jackman.
