Alexandra on Instagram: "For some repairs, where an invisible result isn't needed, needle felting may be an option. I don't actually use this technique very often, and I'm a bit hesitant to recommend it since there are quite a few factors to consider (not least that it's an irreversible process, unlike most of the methods I use). BUT - for the right project, it's definitely a very useful technique! Use matching wool for discreet mending, or contrast colours for visible mends.
