Monday Made It: Classroom Decor
Routine: This daily routine can benefit both the student and teacher. I am interested in finding out what my students took away from lessons of the day, and I can learn a lot about what my students understand and what they don't. Additionally, it is a time for students to reflect on what they have learned, and I would also give them the opportunity to write questions if there are things that they don't understand.

Routine: This website explains how the morning routine with the calendar goes. I would want to implement this into my classroom because I think it is a good start of the day exercise, and it makes students more aware of the months, what day of the week it is, which day was yesterday, etc. It may only last around 15 minutes each morning but it brings together students and it gets everyone ready for the day.
Pinterest Tips That Really Work
Norms: I think this is a great first day of school activity for students because they get to establish what the classroom norms are. This promotes student choice, which I definitely want to implement in my classroom. Additionally, this activity lets the students make expectations for themselves, as opposed to teachers creating expectations for his or her students.
Redirecting
Norms: This chart is a clever way to motivate students' good behavior. This is something I would put in my classroom and introduce at the beginning of the year. I would expect that all students would be inspired to reach the "rockin' behavior" section, as I would give out a prize for those who reached the top spot. Therefore, I would expect good behavior and ready to learn attitudes in my classroom.
Clock Buddies
Routine: It is an efficient and organized way to create pairs for partner activites. I would use this in my classroom, and I would have students set up their clock buddies in the beginning of the school year. I would expect to use this routine whenever I want my students to pair up, and it will cause less chaos of students finding partners, and students will not repeat partners as often.
Norms: I would put this chart in my classroom and establish the three norms that I want the students to follow (responsibility, readiness, respect). I would expect my students to follow these norms through the examples that are provided in the display.
Winter Igloo Classroom Photo
Space: This is a beautiful reading space that would provide comfort for students. It would be a place for them to "get away" from the class. To make this igloo, it would require milk cartons and cotton, and pillows for the inside. I would place this in one of the corners of my classroom, and keep it around for the winter time!
Photo Books, Cards, Prints, Wall Art, Gifts, Wedding
Routine: I want to give my students the opportunity to have responsibilities in the classroom. I would implement this at the beginning of the school year, and explain each of the jobs on the chart. I would expect my students to understand their tasks and it will become routine for students to check on what their job is that day.
Really cool idea ALERT!
Routine: I would make one of these for each of my students and I would provide the first few of the morning tasks that the students need to complete. I plan on using this every morning in my classroom, and I would expect students to use this as their guide to knowing what they have done and what they still need to complete.
Norms: I would implement these SPARK norms at the beginning of each quarter. I think it is important to go over the norms expected at various times of the year so that the students don't lose sight of what is expected of them. Additionally, I like that the students get to particpate by posting their name to a norm that they want to work on.
Norms: Respect is one of the most important norms that I want to instill in my students. I would keep this poster on my classroom wall as a reminder to students that respect is important and each aspect of the respect acronym is essential to follow.
The Daily Cafe
Space: I love how huge this reading area is. There are plenty of spaces for the students to occupy, whether they want to be on the comfy couch, the floor pillow area, or in the tent. If I had a huge classroom I would definitely a well-sized area for reading and comfort. I want my students to have an inviting enviroment that encourages them to want to read.
HugeDomains.com
Space: I like how organized this space is. I would keep this on my classroom wall, and let students access it when they need writing materials. I prefer a classroom to not be so cluttered and I believe that have an organizer such as this will create a organized writing area.
Work Stations at The Virtual Vine
Space: I like the organization that these bins provide. There is easy access for students to obtain objects that they desire, and in an organized fashion so that the students know where they can find each item. Additionally, it will be easy for students to remember where each object goes when it is time for them to be placed back.
A New Linky on Classroom Management and Other Things!
Routine: I would go over these attention grabbers at the beginning of the school year, and hang the poster on the wall as a reminder. I think that these attention grabbers are fun, and there is a variety that I could use in order to keep the class engaged.
