Netflix Produces 'Hanma Baki vs. Kengan Ashura' Anime Movie

The Netflix special stage at AnimeJapan 2024 announced a crossover anime movie between Keisuke Itagaki's Hanma Baki and Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeon's Kengan Ashura manga series titled Hanma Baki vs. Kengan Ashura on Saturday, revealing the main cast, staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser trailer. The anime movie will stream worldwide on Netflix on June 6.

Nobunaga Shimazaki (Black Clover) and Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Nanatsu no Taizai) are starring as Baki Hanma and Ouma Tokita, respectively.

Toshiki Hirano (Baki, Magic Kaito) is helming the anime movie at TMS Entertainment. Yabako Sandrovich (Kengan Ashura original creator) is credited for the original plan cooperation. Atsuo Ishino (Golden Kamuy) is in charge of the screenplay.

Itagaki began drawing the Hanma Baki manga in Weekly Shounen Champion magazine from December 2005 to August 2012. Sandrovich and Daromeon began serializing the Kengan Ashura manga in Ura Sunday magazine from April 2012 to August 2018.
