Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut

Lux, a former prince of an empire named Arcadia that was overthrown via a rebellion five years earlier, accidentally trespasses in a female dormitory's bathing area, sees the kingdom's new princess Lisesharte naked, incurring her wrath. Lisesharte then challenges Lux to a Drag-Ride duel. Drag-Rides are ancient armored mechanical weapons that have been excavated from ruins all around the world. Lux used to be called the strongest Drag-Knight, but now he's known as the "undefeated weakest" Drag-Knight because he will absolutely not attack in battle. After his duel with Lisesharte, Lux ends up attending the female-only academy that trains royals to be Drag-Knights.

It was good in almost every way, world building, animation, character design, art style, but the worst thing about this anime was all the screen time that Lisha got. I mean in my preference other girls were way better. I think the best was that Klucfer or the black haired subordinate. Also one other thing, they should have shown Hayse a bit more powerful so that the main character has to use that overwork thing (or whatever it's name was) to defeat Hayse adding more thrill. But still I think the bigger mistake was giving that tsundere all the attention. as a Harem the ending ... was great I mean the very last scene.

Mixed Feelings

I finally got around to watching Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut, and honestly, it was exactly what I expected. Another anime where the main character is overpowered but remains humble, gets thrown into an all-girls academy, and is completely clueless that every girl around him likes him. At this point, I feel like I could predict every event in this kind of story before it even happens. That doesn’t necessarily make it a bad anime, but it does make it pretty forgettable.

The best part of the series for me was the Drag-Ride battles. The animation during those fights was solid, and there were some genuinely cool ... moments. I just wish the series had focused more on the action rather than constantly getting sidetracked by harem antics. The backstory about Lux being the fallen prince of an empire had potential too, and for a moment, I thought the show was going to dive into something deeper. But instead, it treated that aspect as a side note rather than the main focus, which was disappointing.

As for the characters, Krulcifer and Philuffy were the most interesting to me. Krulcifer had a cool, composed personality that made her stand out from the usual harem cast, and Philuffy had this quiet, mysterious charm. The other girls weren’t bad, but the anime didn’t give them enough proper screen time to fully develop their personalities. Lux, on the other hand, was just your typical harem protagonist—insanely skilled but reluctant to show it, unwilling to hurt anyone, and of course, completely dense when it comes to romance.

The biggest problem with the series is that it leans too much into the harem and ecchi elements instead of focusing on its stronger aspects. If it had prioritized the action and world-building instead, I would’ve rated it higher. But since it played things too safe and followed the same predictable formula as many other anime in this genre, I can’t give it more than a 6/10. I don’t regret watching it, but I also wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend it unless someone is specifically looking for a generic harem with some decent fight scenes. Will I be looking forward to a season 2? Probably not.

Your generic school romance, where your MC doesn't really fall in love with the girls, but more sorts of accepts their attention and affection to fit in, in my mind. As much as he holds comradery for them, it seems his life is complex enough.

he defends a kingdom that doesn't give a flying fck about him and even leaves him a criminal working himself to the death between handyman work and school on top. All they care about is his ability to defend their new kingdom.

Sadly I would easily have sympathy with his opponents, who are all useless due to how ... overpowered he is. If they didn't act so mad at stages, that makes them too demented to support, to try and show why they are the bad guys.

Overall the overdone school, harem, ecchi, mecha generation, continues the same derivative patterns of the guy seemingly ending up closest to the tsundere despite the fact, that there are better options even if he never commits to anyone.

To me the story was weak and generic, the characters the usual tropey style of the dopey one, the tsundere, the overly loving...etc, and the guy as most of the time in these shows clueless. for me it was watchable, but it wasn't a good watchable, you wanted to know what happens at the end, but a 12 show that leaves you with signs of more problems to come, was a bit short, but typical of anime

So sadly the strongpoints for it would be its art and sound, where everything else was very bad to bad in my mind
