All his life, Yuuya Tenjou has been the subject of resentment and contempt from everyone around him, even from his parents. To make matters worse, his grandfather—the only person who ever showed him affection—suddenly dies, leaving Yuuya truly alone.

Despite facing many adversities, Yuuya does what he can to offer kindness to those who need it—but even the most good-natured people can only tolerate so much abuse. Just when he reaches his breaking point, a flicker of hope appears in the form of a hidden door in his bathroom.

This door provides two-way access to an abandoned house in another world, where he instantly gains game-like stats and skills. Moreover, the house once belonged to a sage, which gives Yuuya access to remarkable weapons, equipment, and crops with extraordinary effects. With these newfound blessings, the once-undesirable Yuuya may just reach his true potential and become unstoppable.

Honestly I dont know why this is rated so low. If you dont take it too seriously and lean into the ridiculousness its very enjoyable. MC and all the other characters are likeable - and its also visually unique and appealing. This is very much every incels wet dream, but they play into the ridiculousness of it and dont take it too seriously so its fun to watch.
There are plenty of generic isekai cliches - but they stay away from the really annoying ones and overall it has its own vibe that makes it unique.
There is also the general harem vibe - but its ... much more pleasant and fun and less gross than many others - and all the girls are likeable and have actual relationships with each other.
Is it a masterpiece? Obviously not, but its a super fun power fantasy for when you want something lighthearted and silly with a little cringe. Easy binge. Recommend.

Mixed Feelings

This was probably the 5th or 7th Isekai anime I saw within this month. Honestly, I first dropped it after just 5 episodes, as it felt very predictable; for the umpteenth time, an unhandsome protagonist suddenly becomes the strongest overpowered hero.

I do admit that the first episode was quite interesting and fun to watch. The anime does take a little different approach: unlike most Isekai stories that have a protagonist stuck in a bizarre magical world, this one actually has a door through which the MC can move freely between both worlds.

By the end, the anime seamlessly sets up an interesting plot that ... hints at an exciting second season that I am looking forward to watching.

I'd give it a rating of 6 out of 10, which is fair — neither bad nor spectacular.

This anime had potential but suffers from rushed pacing and weak execution. The story follows Yuuya Tenjou, a bullied teen who discovers a portal to another world. After training and leveling up, he gains incredible strength and transforms physically, but instead of wasting his new abilities, he actively works to improve himself.

The issue? The anime rushes through his progress, making it feel like he became overpowered overnight. His sudden transformation also throws him into situations he’s completely unprepared for, but the story doesn’t explore this deeply. The romance is barely developed, and side characters lack depth. While the art looks good in stills, the animation ... is inconsistent. One scene has great visuals then the next scene isn't really great but not bad either.

Overall, it’s a generic power fantasy with wasted potential. If you enjoy OP protagonists, it might be fun, but don’t expect much depth.
