I have a decent job and make enough money for me to spend on random stuff.
So I occasionally (every Friday) drop by the regular music store to pick up some CD's. This week I got a hold of several ones I never really given any thought. Anyway, here they are: Chaosphere (1998) and Catch Thirty-Three (2005) from Meshuggah, Rocket Ride (2006) from Edguy and The Duke (2006) from Jorn.
I have yet to listen to the CD's, so I can't give any opinions on them. Though I intend to tell what my expectations are.
I'm not familiar with Meshuggah, other than knowing that they have a really original guitar style and awesome drumming.
I have Mandrake (2001) form Edguy, but other than that, I'm not too familiar with the band. Mandrake is quite decent, so I expect a bit from Rocket Ride. Put aside the ridiculous cover art, there is a large segment in the manual about the story from the band, which is a great bonus.
Last one out is Jorn, I love his work with Masterplan, and I think it's a shame that he left the band. I have no idea how his solo work is, so I took a gamble and bought it. There is not really anything more to say about it than The Duke is the CD i have highest expectations from.

That said, I started looking for alternative ways to watch my anime. I started with youtube, though they had already started deleting most of the anime available. I could still find it, yet it was annoying when sometimes the part 2 or 3 was deleted, and had to find another user with the episode.
One or two months later, one of my friends showed me veo, and it's superb compared to youtube. The quality is about the same, just without the crappy mono sound. I was happy.
Then, two weeks from now, another friend of mine wanted to introduce me to an anime I never had heard about (Ergo Proxy). I was like, “eh, ok, let's check on veo”. He laughed a bit, took away my keyboard, and typed in stage6.
I was stunned. The flashy quality from torrents was back, and the telephone was working at the same time. And at the same time, it's downloadable, so I can rather download it than watch it if I want to save it till later.
And now it's down. Dead. “Feeding the hamster”, it said on their homepage. I guess they used up all available space, since the size is the same as it is usual. I hope they don't drop in quality, or limit a video to 10 minutes, like youtube.
Anyway, all I can do for the moment is waiting. And while I'm waiting, I play a silly game called “RagdollMasters”. I saved some episodes from Darker Than BLACK on my computer, and since I'm only on episode 6, I can watch some more if I get really desperate.
Don't get me wrong though, I think Darker Than BLACK is awesome (8/10), it's just that I wanted to save it for later.
