While far too ambitious for its length, Oracle of Ages is a massive improvement over the very bad Oracle of Seasons. Instead of needing to rush through the plot due to a large amount of setup taking place beforehand, Ages takes place a year after Seasons, with the same Link as before. The friends are better as well, with Raven particularly being a standout character, and far better than the joke Ricky and underutilized Maple from Seasons. The biggest drawback is that, as the manga is only 11 chapters long, the longer epic it wants to tell ends up feeling like it had a lot

cut from it to fit.
Ultimately, however, this manga is very middle of the road. Incredibly average. By extension, there's not really much to say about it, beyond that it's something that would be good for both children and Legend of Zelda fans - something its predecessor Oracle of Seasons can't claim - but not anyone else. Fortunately for everyone interested, Ages mostly stands on its own, saving it from having required reading.
