FAQ - Boy I should really update this huh
Q: I came here from a review you wrote and have a question.
A: I'm glad you read the review, however all my reviews I wrote over 5 years ago and don't really remember the thought processes behind them anymore.
Q: Why so many dropped anime?
A: I stop watching the anime I don't like. This is the main reason why I'm still here after
10 13 years: I try to mostly only watch stuff I enjoy. I used to try not drop anime. That was a bad idea. I still have the scars. You should follow this advice.
Q: Why rate all your dropped anime?
A: I would forget what I thought of it otherwise. At least if I plonked a 5/10 or 2/10 I would know I just thought it was average or I thought it was pretty awful. They do start to blend together after a while you know.
Q: Your taste sux

and I also believe it, cause episode 1 had massive red flags that was the kinda show it was gonna be.
P.S - love the fact you got holo on your top ten lol, she is legit was of the realest female characters anime has to offer, unlike magic highs list of people lol
"My biggest complaint though is how I felt it started to lose sight of the balance it created between the real world and the space opera right at the end. I get what it was going for and how Oji had come to terms with this dream by the end, but I felt it didn’t quite get the balance right the same way the rest of the series did."
Please, if you have any thoughts on this or could elaborate more on what you wrote above, I would love to hear from you. Thank you.
Edit: By the way I know that the whole space thing doesn't really matter in the end. But I really want to resolve this point because it ties into the themes and emotions very deeply. The question is basically: did Yoko come running back and thereby validate what he has been trying to do, which made it possible for him to finally move on OR did he make that journey on his own? Him playing that song is essentially accepting reality and moving on with his life, no longer being stuck in the past. I think it's more satisfying if he finally takes that step on his own, when he realizes that simply staying in the past and repeating the old song over and over no longer works. If he needed Yoko to approve of him then I think that undermines the development and theme a bit, but perhaps it works in favour of the relationship themes about supporting and understanding the dreams of your loved ones.
