Hey! Just checking in. I hope everything is well with you. Is anything interesting going on? Have you read anything? I've just finished reading all four physical omnibuses of Blade of the Immortal that I own. As far as samurai manga goes, it's a goldie!

That one is definitely on my horizon! I’ve been reading a little samurai manga, Blade of the Immortal. The main character can’t die hence the name. The artwork is just totally awesome, a lot of panels are done in pencil only and it creates a cool effect ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

My score went down pretty fast. Had it as a 2 not long ago, but I strongly dislike it, and thoughts of finishing it fill me with dread. I wrote a review for it. In short: horrendously poor aesthetic and atmosphere. I thus far despise these series that have an expendable cast, and I think every anime and manga that has done this is bad. And while the character writing seems decent enough at times, all the other factors and cheesy parts like episode 5 18 mins in detract from it, and geo vs helio is kind of old hat and not that interesting to me. Otherwise, it's kind of pretty standard plucky rebels versus frowny-face empire series, just more heavily focused on ideals.

That's probably everything I want an anime to do, I very much love commentaries on such topics, and it sounds curious how they've done it, only makes me want to watch it more. I just hope it's easier for me to get than the '95 movie, I know its good but for some reason it just never struck me the way it strikes some people. Thanks brother.

Thanks for the friend request bro. I think your opinions are pretty cool not gonna lie. Girls' Last Tour is insanely good, glad you liked it. Also Aku no Hana, it's disappointing how much people write that one off. The anime and the manga are both very good. Texhnolyze as well.

Can I ask why you liked Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, without spoiling? I'm interested in watching it.
