Ah well boo. :( I was hoping to see you but yay for your brother going home! I hope he enjoys his trip. Next time I'm home we'll have to get together. I dunno when I'll be home again though.

Mom is holding up well! Her and my dad went to Florida to visit some old friends last week and she drove most of the way...lol.

Anyways my family is doing well. My mom is doing well right now. She sees her oncologist again end of next month. How's your family doing? You guys coming to see your brother? My family was talking about visiting again in September or October if my mom's next doctor appt goes well.

Are you subbing again this year? If so when's school start? I have to work again this weekend.

Hey! I'm doing well. Just got home from work, took a shower, and am eating a snack before I go to sleep. I worked nights this weekend. 11pm-7am on Friday, 7p-7a yesterday and 7p-11 tonight. It was a crazy weekend. Lots of helicopters flew in and we did a couple of head traumas in the OR.

My trip home was good! Went to a baseball game, saw my friend from nursing school 1 week before she had her baby, saw some fireworks, and hung out with my mom quite a bit.

How you been and what you been up to this summer? How's your brother doing? Hope he's doing well. I look for him whenever I'm up on his unit but never see him....lol.

Yay for being done! Are you going to try to find a job now in that field?

My family is doing good! They drove all 20 hours here. My mom didn't want to fly. I'm not sure if my brother will come again anytime soon. He has limited vacation time. I'm planning to go home July 1-7 though. Still have to buy my plane ticket though. I'm waiting to see if my requested time off is approved.

That's too bad for the owner! She is a really sweet lady. I hope she can get it cleaned up and fixed quickly. I go there to buy red bean buns...lol.

Hi!! I'm doing good. How about you? My parents and uncle actually were here last week. They left on Monday but it was nice to have them here.

That's crazy about the Asian store! I was just there last Saturday. The same thing happened where I used to work at the dry cleaners. Car went through our glass wall. It happened on the coldest day of the year too when it was like 15 degrees out...lol. We had to board the wall up for awhile.

Hi!!! I'm doing well. Just got up. Family is doing good. My mom's been off chemo for almost 3 months. Her CA-120 levels have been normal so her doctor is happy. Hopefully things continue to go well for her. Ah that sucks they all can't have break the same time so you could enjoy time off even though you have school work. Good luck with your projects though.

The main OR has its stresses but its a much better fit for me. And I get a bigger variety in cases. I do a lot of ENT, urology, and GI. We have a traveler scrub who is leaving soon and she is up in GYN where I was at first and she haaaates it b/c of the techs that work up there. They have a new nurse up there as well and they are stressing her out as well and she is on the verge of quitting.

I have seen Cinderella! It is super cute. A live action Mulan sounds amazing! I know they are doing Beauty and the Beast and Jungle Book live-action.

Hey! How are you doing? Haven't talked to you in a while so thought I'd write to you!

How is subbing going? Did you already have spring break? If so, hope you got to relax for a week. My brother visited me last weekend and it was a lot of fun. We did a lot of stuff. There's this road called The Enchanted Highway a little out west and it's in the middle of nowhere but along the road has giant metal sculptures every 5-6 miles. We also saw Insurgent. I was disappointed in it a tad b/c it was so different from the book, which I loved. I didn't want him to leave but sadly he had to...lol.

Any new spring anime your interested in? I looked at the list and there's actually quite a few that I'm thinking about watching. The 2nd part of Fate/stay Night is a given.

How is your brother doing? My job is going good. I really enjoy it down in the main OR. I have to work next weekend (and its Easter too...boooo) so I get this Wednesday and Thursday off. Trying to think of something fun to do during the middle of the week.

Anyways, hope you're doing well! Miss you! Does your family plan on coming this summer to see your brother? It'll be great to see you...hopefully you guys can stay longer this time! Are you still taking pharm classes?

The weather is freezing here! Lol. Wind chills were -25 to -30 the other night as well.

Does your brother know an Asian grocery store opened here in Bismarck? They've been open for about a month. Its called Asian Gourmet Market and its on Front Street. Not a big place but they do have a nice variety and the owner said she was going to get more of different things. I went today for the first time and spent $23.

hey! How was your brother's trip back home? I had a great time and didn't want to come back....lol. Did he end up taking a taxi? I left my car there and parked really close to the terminal. It started up just fine for me after being in the cold for 4 days.

Well if I continued to scrub, I had to learn all the instruments, how to do the procedures step by step, how to properly hand the instruments to the surgeon, and the order of the sutures. I was way stressed out to the point I was feeling physically sick in the mornings. One girl training me let me read a procedure guide for like 2 minutes and then proceeded to act like I should know how to do it and know what instruments to put on the stand. Um no....I didn't go to scrub school and what I read I didn't even comprehend. And she told me I was way too slow in setting up my table when in school they had 2 hours to set up their tables in lab. I just got tired of it and knew it wasn't for me so I talked to my boss and she switched me to the main OR where I don't have to scrub. Yay! It's probably going to be extended by another 3 months.

I'll be in Ohio from Wednesday-Sunday morning. My flight leaves here 6:30am from Bismarck and lands in Minneapolis for a layover and then Dayton. I then leave Dayton at 7:10am Sunday morning. I'm flying Delta. How long is your brother going to be home for? I'm so excited to go home and see my parents (especially my mom!), brother, and kitties! Hopefully the weather won't be too bad.

Hey! Sorry I never responded to this! I was way stressed out at work. They were teaching me to scrub (handle the instruments) and I absolutely HATED it. In order to work in women's you have to know how to scrub since for call it is what all the staff does so they moved me to the main OR in the basement where for call I don't have to scrub. I'm basically starting over from scratch and my orientation got extended.

I'm glad your brother is liking it there! I didn't have to attend any classes or workshops besides new associate orientation and nursing orientation. I'm sure the floor is different.

Glad subbing is keeping you busy! I'm coming home for Thanksgiving. Really excited to go back to Ohio!

Hey! I'm doing good. Had a long weekend this weekend. Boss gave everyone Friday off so I did a bunch of errands yesterday that I usually do on Saturdays. Was going to go out to some museum today but it ended up being cloudy and chilly and a lot of it is outdoors so I passed and stayed home and watched anime. XD It's actually suppose to be near 70 all next week so maybe I'll go to the museum next Saturday.

Work is good so far. How's your brother holding up? Did he work on Thursday? They had a lunch for all the employees that day to celebrate the new merger with CHI and there was a pasta buffet with cake! Haha. Joint Commission was here all last week too and everyone was all stressed out over that.

I get to rotate through the other surgical specialities. Neuro, ortho, General, etc. They just want me exposed to them in case they need extra help but I will mostly be doing women's. I've seen more female body parts these past 2 weeks than I care for...Lol.

Awww school starts early-ish for you there. Enjoy the last couple weeks. :)

Only thing I've seen is the new Sailor Moon. I don't think anything else really interested me. I know they are rebooting fate/stay night and it comes out in the fall....I think.
