About Us
POWSTER provides a digital advertising API technology that allows advertising sellers (publishers) of advertising inventory to serve Ads that contain relevant film, cinema and showtimes information based on an end-viewers location.

The “Nearest Showtimes API” does not make use of or drop any cookie based technology when used.

You can reject or accept cookies from a Platform that utilizes POWSTER’s Nearest Showtimes service at any time by activating settings on your browser. Information We Collect
When you visit an experience that uses the Nearest Showtimes service, we automatically process certain information about you and your device (“User Information“) using standard geo coding technology. This information may identify a particular computer or device, and is considered “personal data”.
If you visit or use an experience that is powered by the Nearest Showtimes API, we process the following personal information from you:
- IP Address
We will use this personal information to:
- Estimate your location to city level
- Return relevant film, cinema and showtimes information based on your location
We do not process any other types of data as part of the Nearest Showtimes API.

The Nearest Showtimes service does not log, store or record personal information, only processes it.
Sharing User Information
We do not share personal information processed through the use of the Nearest Showtimes service.
Information Our Customers and Vendors Collect
Our clients, our vendors, and our clients’ vendors, who use our technology may use their own tags, pixels, cookies, or other similar technology (or those of their other affiliates) within their advertisements and on certain websites. We are not responsible for our clients, vendors and/or our clients’ vendors use of such tracking technologies or for their privacy practices.

We have adopted appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices, technical, organisational and security measures designed to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of the personal information that users share with us. Right to restrict the processing of your personal information
You can ask us to restrict your personal information, but only where:
- its accuracy is contested, to allow us to verify its accuracy; or
- the processing is unlawful, but you do not want it erased; or
- it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, but we still need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
- you have exercised the right to object, and verification of overriding grounds is pending.
We can continue to use your personal information following a request for restriction, where:
- we have your consent; or
- to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
- to protect the rights of another natural or legal person.

You can ask to obtain a copy of, or reference to, the safeguards under which your personal information is transferred outside of the European Union.
We may redact data transfer agreements to protect commercial terms.

- You have a right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you have concerns about how we are processing your personal information.
- We ask that you please attempt to resolve any issues with us first, although you have a right to contact your supervisory authority at any time.
Legal rights for California residents
California residents have certain privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, also known as the CCPA. The CCPA requires additional disclosures regarding any collection, disclosure, or sale of personal information, which are detailed below.
Notice of Collection.
In the past 12 months, we have collected Identifiers, as defined in the CCPA. Specifically, we have collected IP addresses as described above in the Information We Collect section of this policy.
We collect and use this personal information for the business purposes described in the same section, including to provide and manage our API. POWSTER does not store the personal information processed through the Nearest Showtimes API.
POWSTER does not sell (as that term is defined in the CCPA) the personal information we collect (and will not sell it without providing a right to opt out). We do not knowingly collect nor sell personal information from minors. We do not share the personal information we do collect through the Nearest Showtimes API. Please review the Information Retention and Sharing section above for more detail.
Right to Non-Discrimination.
You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of any of your rights.
Shine the Light.
California’s “Shine the Light” law permits residents of California to request certain details about how certain types of their information are shared with third parties and, in some cases, affiliates, for those third parties’ and affiliates’ own direct marketing purposes. POWSTER does not share personal information as defined by California’s “Shine the Light” law and collected through the Nearest Showtimes API with third parties and/or affiliates for those third parties’ and affiliates’ own direct marketing purposes.
Legal rights for Nevada residents
Nevada consumers may submit requests directing the business not to sell certain kinds of personal information that the business has collected or will collect about the consumer. A sale under Nevada law is the exchange of personal information for monetary consideration by the business to a third party for the third party to license or sell the personal information to other third parties. POWSTER does not sell personal information collected through the Nearest Showtimes API. Legal rights in other jurisdictions

POWSTER may update this Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page and where necessary, by any other means required by applicable law. We encourage you to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we may use and protect the personal information we collect.
