I like this one because the two coke cans as in the one on the end and in the front are out of focus and the one in the middle is focused. I think this gives it a cool look and is different than most DOF pictures.
I will find new meaning in every joy and sorrow In that silence, I will hear the voice of spirit, and freed from this world, I will see another world where the end is another beginning.--Rumi

Another great example of Still-Life photography. This time was the technique of the photographer that turned the picture great. Thanks to a wide open aperture and a right placed point of focus he created a wonderful bokeh - wonderful!!
This is one of the first fallen leaves I came across in early September on a neighborhood basketball court. The evening sun was hitting is just right to make it stand out and catch my eye. I used a Zeiss 28mm f2 manual focus lens mounted on a Canon 5D Mark III with the aperture wide open and my lens right at the minimum focus distance for the lens. I love the close-up with context view that shooting very close with a wide angle lens provides, and ever since.

This is a great depth of field photo, the depth mainly focuses on the lemons and the bench that they are positioned on, where as in the background it is quite blurry.
